The future King and Queen have made their position clear on rebuilding family ties.
Prince William and Princess Kate reportedly have no plans to join King Charles’s efforts to reconcile with the Sussexes after years of family tensions.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s unexpected return to the UK for an extended stay reportedly surprised both the public and the royal family.
According to reports, Charles, who is battling cancer, is pleased that their return gives him more time with his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. He also reportedly wants to be remembered as a King who chose peace over a family feud.
William and Catherine, however, appear unwilling to take part in those reconciliation efforts.
The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales have no interest in rebuilding ties with Harry and Meghan.
A friend of the Waleses told Eden: “It makes no difference if Harry and Meghan are in Oxfordshire, California or Timbuktu.
“William and Catherine will continue their lives of public service. They intend to lead by example.”
