Royal Collection Trust shares visitor details as questions remain over a Sussex family reunion
The Royal Collection Trust has announced its Christmas visitor dates amid speculation about whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will reunite with the royal family over the festive season.
In an October 13 post on its official Instagram account, the Trust revealed when Christmas decorations would go up at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Windsor Castle. It also confirmed the return of the Christmas shop at the Royal Mews.
“It’s 73 days until Christmas Day, but no need to stress; that’s ages away. More excitingly, it’s only 37 days until our first Christmas decorations go up for the year!” the post read.
“As always, we’ll be making the Palace of Holyroodhouse and Windsor Castle look beautiful for the festive season.
“We’ll also have our special Christmas shop at the Royal Mews open again this year.”
Urging visitors to “save the dates” and plan a royal winter trip, the Trust announced the following schedule:
Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh: November 19, 2026, to January 4, 2027.
Windsor Castle: November 26, 2026, to January 4, 2027.
Royal Mews Christmas Shop, London: November 13, 2026, to January 4, 2027.
Separately, questions remain over whether the Sussexes, who are reportedly in the UK, will receive an invitation to join the royal family for Christmas.
Sources claim the family has so far shown no indication of including Harry and Meghan in its festive gatherings. The Trust’s announcement concerns public visitor attractions and does not address the couple’s Christmas plans.
