Meghan’s latest move exposes contradictions, royal commentator claims
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly begun searching for a lavish new home in the UK, with their alleged wish list including nine bedrooms, a film studio and extensive private grounds.
The couple’s reported requirements have drawn criticism from royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, who believes they contradict their previous complaints about royal life.
Speaking with Fox News co-host Ainsley Earhardt, Schofield recalled Meghan’s claims that palace life was extremely difficult.
“The Sussexes have spent years telling us how suffocating royal life was,” she said.
According to Schofield, the couple’s apparent preference for a “palace-style estate” exposes a contradiction between their past statements and current actions. She suggested Meghan’s reported demands indicate that the Duchess still enjoys the luxuries associated with royal life.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who share Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are reportedly considering a new chapter in Britain. Reports claim they began looking for a property after arriving in the UK on a private jet on August 26.
Meghan is said to want a home offering many of the same luxuries available at the couple’s California residence. Her reported wish list includes a private film studio, fuelling speculation that she may be considering a return to acting.
The Duchess stepped away from the profession when her royal duties took centre stage.
Harry, meanwhile, reportedly has different priorities for the family’s potential UK home. Privacy is said to be at the top of his list, with the Duke seeking “a lot, and I mean a lot, of land” without public footpaths crossing the property.
