Archie and Lilibet’s reported schooling plans raise questions over the family’s protection arrangements
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly concerned about how they would manage school runs in Britain while questions over their security remain unresolved.
According to The Sun, the couple are preparing for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to attend school in the UK. A friend of the Sussexes suggested that getting the children to and from school safely is a particular worry.
“The school run is a tricky issue and I understand they are nervous about it,” the friend told the publication.
In Montecito, Harry and Meghan have been able to handle school drop-offs with their private security in place. The report suggests that doing the same in Britain could prove more complicated as Harry’s team seeks police protection.
Prince William and Catherine regularly make school runs for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Whether the Sussexes could enjoy a similar routine remains uncertain.
The report also claims that Harry and Meghan have a private residence in the Cotswolds offering the family privacy, and suggests some taxpayer-funded protection could eventually be reinstated. However, it provides no official confirmation of that outcome.
A government spokesperson declined to discuss individual security arrangements.
“It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals’ security.”
