A video that went viral showed the monarch chatting with guests when the insect approached, briefly disrupting the encounter.
Royal commentator Cameron Walker shared the clip on Instagram, showing the King’s close protection officer moving quickly to help ward off a “pesky wasp”.
Charles, who is receiving cancer treatment, appeared to feel something behind his head and tried to brush the insect away.
The incident was described as minor, with no indication in the account that it affected the King’s health.
