Prince Harry’s team has issued an update on the Invictus Games Foundation’s work in Ukraine, shortly after King Charles sent his wishes to the country on its Independence Day.
On August 25, the Invictus Games Instagram account shared photos and details of a meeting between the foundation’s Deputy CEO, Richard Smith CBE, and Ukraine’s Minister for Veterans Affairs, Vitalii Kim.
The pair discussed the continued growth of the Invictus Movement in Ukraine and the impact of their ongoing partnership.
Since 2019, the Invictus Games Foundation has worked with Ukraine’s Ministry of Veterans Affairs to widen access to adaptive sports, aid rehabilitation and help veterans and serving personnel connect and recover through sport.
The latest meeting also highlighted the importance of strengthening that partnership as the foundation continues its sports recovery work through its Signature Programme.
The update came after King Charles offered heartfelt prayers for Ukraine’s future prosperity and peace as the nation marked its Independence Day.
