Prince William is said to remain cautious about Prince Harry’s reported efforts to rebuild ties with the Royal Family, as speculation grows over the Duke of Sussex’s future visits to the UK.
The Prince of Wales is reportedly concerned that a renewed royal connection could lead to further public revelations about the family, following Harry’s television interviews and his memoir, Spare.
A source close to the Waleses claimed that William and Catherine remain reluctant to welcome Harry back into the royal fold.
“The Prince and Princess of Wales still fear the Duke’s return to the royal fold would simply fuel another book or a new deal with the streaming giants, as we’ve seen previously,” the source said.
Harry, meanwhile, has continued to show support for the Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham next year. The Duke visited the city last month to mark one year until the international competition for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans begins.
Reports have also suggested that organisers hope King Charles could attend the event, potentially creating an opportunity for Harry to spend time with his father during the visit.
While the Duke appears determined to make the Birmingham Games a major occasion, his possible return has also revived questions over his strained relationships with both the King and Prince William.
Neither Harry nor the Prince and Princess of Wales has commented publicly on the latest reports.
