A potential reunion between Meghan Markle and Princess Kate could happen in the future—but only if it benefits the monarchy, according to a royal commentator.
Kate and Meghan were last seen publicly together in 2022, when they joined Prince William and Prince Harry to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II following her death.
Reports later claimed King Charles hosted Harry, Meghan, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at Highgrove in July 2026—an apparent step towards repairing relations. However, the reported move was said to have caused unease for Prince William and Kate.
William is believed to remain upset over criticism levelled at the royal family by the Sussexes over the years, making any personal reconciliation difficult.
Still, royal expert Daisy McAndrew suggested that Kate and Meghan could eventually reach an arrangement for the sake of “the Firm.”
Speaking on Daily Expresso, host JJ Anisiobi said Kate had reason not to trust Meghan, referring to the Duchess of Sussex’s past criticism of the royal family. He then asked whether Kate could ever trust her again.
McAndrew replied: “Trust is something so personal, isn’t it? I can see a point where they come to some sort of arrangement for the good of the group, for the good of the Firm.”
While a warm personal reunion may remain unlikely, any future meeting between the Princess of Wales and Meghan could be driven by duty and the wider interests of the royal family.
