King Charles and Prince William may eventually be forced to address the York sisters’ positions within the monarchy
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are believed to remain in the good graces of their uncle, King Charles, despite the controversies surrounding their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson.
However, royal insiders suggest the support shown by the King and Prince William may not last indefinitely.
Eugenie recently welcomed her third child in Portugal, with Buckingham Palace’s announcement appearing to signal that the wider royal family continues to stand behind the sisters. Beatrice, meanwhile, has reportedly been struggling with intense public scrutiny, prompting Charles to offer his nieces some breathing room.
Sources claim, however, that the princesses could eventually face a harsh reality—particularly after recent polls indicated a decline in their popularity.
“No matter how much they’ve done over the years to represent the family well and do good work, their parents’ disgusting behaviour has shattered everything, and now most people seem to believe they have no real place in royal society,” an insider told Heat Magazine.

“That’s just the reality,” the source continued. “Their place within the royal family may be accommodated by Charles, and William may be sparing them the indignity for now, but there’s a feeling that he will eventually confront this.”
For the moment, Charles is said to be dealing with one royal problem at a time. His immediate focus reportedly remains on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and what their future relationship with the monarchy might look like.
Still, the sisters’ poor polling numbers have allegedly made an already difficult situation “ten times worse.” Despite their efforts to support the monarchy and charitable causes, Beatrice and Eugenie continue to face the fallout from the controversies linked to their parents.
